(7A55.20) Double Slit
$0.00
The double slit experiment helps in the understanding of the wave theory of light. A beam of monochromatic light is shown through a plate with two slits towards a solid, flat surface. When the light passes through the plate and onto the surface, both constructive and destructive interference, observed as bright and dark bands, or fringes, is observed. The distance between the fringes is directly related to the distance between the plate and the surface.
